First Recording

The very first recording of 700cb ever. This recording started the "set it and forget it" recording sessions that usually ended up in a lot of useless noise (the classic "spew session"). Sometimes you can find a good tune or two tucked away in the recordings though.

Hey Father

It must say something where the album starts with a rendition of Pat Benetar's "Shadows of the Night". Also has attempts at Final Countdown and Rock and Roll Dream. So good to hear someone practice. Has an interesting attempt at electronic drums with a device called "Body Rap" Some songs that have not been played to any great extent.

Stick it up your ass

This obnoxious recording presents 700cb in both total and tonal attack mode. Ahhh the follies of youth. "Stick it" is one of the first 700cb recordings (obviously). The young band, inspired by the SK-1's 'state of the art' capablilties, forged the Buzz raps and the famous Danny Raps.

A lengthy collection of noise. One standout is a track written using an octave-vibrato patch on the CZ-101. Near the end is a brief overdub of an unreleased song with an extended variation section.

700cb Freeze... Nightmusik in the Winter

A non-stop string thing guaranteed to put you to sleep.

We Live For Tea

This recording is primarily an archive of songs Anachostic had composed to date. The end of the recording has remnants of a prior "spew session"

700cb Raps

A collection of "Raps" facilitated by the use of the Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard.

Dead Room Sessions

Recordings originally found at the end of the "Lively" Album are now determined to hail from the lost Dead Room sessions, notorious for the room's lack of acoustical qualities.

So called because of the horrible recording quality

Snoopy Stadium

Recorded with CZ-101 in Snoopy stadium. At the time, the sound quality was very good due to multiple microphones and mixer. Did not suffer from "level-stealing" like in early albums. This also had a second CZ-101 on loan that was not used to any great effect.

Sequence Volume 1

First sequences created with Ensoniq ESQ1. Lots of experimentation with sounds and ideas. Lots of transcribed songs. This album is a very good indication of where the 700cb sound is going.

Sequence Volume 1.5

Some live tracks in the ESQ era. Also has a failed attempt multitrack recording including guitar tracks. Sequences include classical pieces.

Sequence Volume 2

Second sequence album. Much more confidence in writing

Sequence Volume 3

Third sequence album. Technology advances beyond the ESQ1 sequencer and begins PC-based sequencing. More keyboards available (Juno1 and Matrix6). Allows for much heavier orchestrated pieces. 700cb sound is stable

Super Sessions

Live tracks from the ESQ1 era. Has most of the original tracks including VMAX, Imagizm, Rational Hallushunashun and other classics.

Lively

One of the best live sessions from the Classic Archive Series. Also has rare drum only tracks of MacSnide playing Rush- Moving Pictures

Office Jams

Office Jams marks the beginning of the 700cb "renaissance one" period. Recorded in mid 1990, this was the first live session after the band's first hiatus.

Rehersal 92

Recorded in the dead room using the most primitive recording tools available. Provides an excellent example of how a 700cb song (Dish With a View) is born

700cb Jams

A live recording in the TLC Basement during the first 700cb renaissance.

Bummer Days

This was recorded at TLC Basement on a non-peak day.

Dynamo

Recorded live at TLC basement. So called because of the dynamics of the drums.

Thrash on Trash

Live in TLC Basement. A collection of jams and thrash.

Dewey/Jake Jams

This recording was actually two tapes. Each tape was a jam session with either MacSnide or Dewey Mays. The Jake jam was a dueling keyboards kind of jam with an old Yamaha drum machine in the background. There were a few highlights

Jake Sequences

These sequences were recorded in 1994 during MacSnide’s tenure with Berkeley College of Music. Most of the recordings were done on a Roland MV-30 Workstation. The songs are interesting because they attempt to emulate the 700cb feel.

Future Archives

This is a short collection of songs, some new for the time and some solo re-recordings.

CDD Release

This is a special release with new songs and re-recordings arranged for continuous play with the addition of 'transitional' pieces. Recorded March-July 2000
